Bowl Made with a Roll of Tickets

I've tried a number of times to throw a clay vessel on a potter's wheel.  I have repeatedly failed.  All my efforts look as though they were made in a cut-rate summer camp.  Anyhoo... I've seen this projects a few times in blogland.  It is a roll of tickets pushed into the shape of a bowl.

All I needed for this project was art paste (kind of like mod podge) and a paint brush.  I bought the roll of tickets in a Canadian dollar store, hence the bilingual beer/beirre.  There is actually a chain of such stores called "The Looney Bib"  which references the nickname for the Canadian $1.00 coin.

I was surprised at how much strength it took to press the center of the roll to form the bowl.  When I was pleased with the shape, I brushed a couple of coats of the art paste on it.  That's it.  Really.
