A year ago, the group at Raveloe (my friend Linda's wonderful fiber shop) got together for an event called Happy Family. I actually started to spin the assorted fiber from that night very soon afterwards. Last night, a full calendar year later, I finished it. That might be some sort of a record - twelve months to make my way through six ounces of fiber. Anyhoo... I love the finished product. I'm hoping to use it in a rigid heddle scarf project. I also spun up some wool I picked up last year at a local fiber festival. It was grown in Western New York and hand dyed a color the artist called "Key West Blue" It isn't a color I usually choose, but I've read that working with a color that is new to you is a good way to give yourself a little creative nudge.
