Your Sister-In-Law in Manhattan

This is so cute! It reminds me of a nice little outdated book that I had to read in elementary/primary school called 'Effective English'. I tried to keep my copy at home, but my teacher just wouldn't forget that I had it. The copy I had was the only remaining good copy in school. The title and content of the book gave the impression 'by Britain, for the colonies'. It was a cute book and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Glad it arrived - I love the verses, and the thought that people actually wrote them in each other's autograph books.

Britt-Arnhild in Norway

How nice.
Is this a wellknown American book? Did you take your name from it?
